Are There Safe Havens For Investing?

Monday January 12, 2009

Investing in shares and other opportunities on stock markets can be risky, which is why many people are interested in finding safe havens. The problem with finding a low risk investment is that it will often only provide growth over time. The upside is that losses will also tend to be rare, yet investments that only keep the value of your invested money above inflation may not be worthwhile.

You must be prepared to take a reasonable level of risk when buying shares on stock markets. If you cannot accept the possibility of losses, even after taking steps toward loss minimisation, then investing in stock markets may not be suited to you. For that matter, any kind of investment may be unsuitable for your needs, as investment with potential for quick growth will always have some level of risk attached.
