When will stock markets be safe again?
Monday September 22, 2008
The big question on the minds of many traders is when will stock markets be safe to trade on again? While the professionals always need to find a way to trade on the stock markets, more casual traders are left wondering when they can afford to leave shares again to grow without having to keep a close eye on them every day. Unfortunately, no one can be sure, as the stock markets have already suffered from some unexpected events, such as the failure of several massive financial institutions.
Investing in shares is always risky and knowing the right times for buying shares and the right times for selling shares is difficult to predict. Choosing a stock broker who can give you advice on how the stock markets are looking can be helpful but, unless you use a discretionary dealing broker, the final decisions on investments will be up to you. Buying shares when stock markets look to have hit bottom can definitely lead to big returns in the future, you just need to be prepared for the risk of buying when the market has appeared to bottom out and then takes another huge fall.
